WHERE’S MY FRIGGIN’ FAIRY GODMOTHER?
Fairy
Godmothers have traditionally appeared to young women but men
and women of all ages need magic and miracles. Whether you are
a man or woman, whether you’re straight or gay, you need
someone who understands your predicament. A godmother who knows
that even though you may have dated every dysfunctional person
in America, you still need a glimmer, a flea-sized shred of hope.
This
book is a virtual Fairy Godmother, throughout encouraging messages
will be offered, not so syrupy that you’ll want to puke
but just enough to get through the day. Partners misbehave or
leave and we forget who we are and what we deserve. As your advocate
I’ll remind you to honor yourself.
I’m
here to tell you that in spite of your past experiences, you can
find a lasting love. Before I finally met my mate I got so tired
of first dates. When a new date came to pick me up I wanted to
answer the door in my chocolate-stained chenille robe, hot rollers
and a Dead Sea mud mask. My opening line would be, "Well,
do you want it or not? It may not get any better that this and
I’m tired." I was a woman who at times thought she
was too defective to fix and had issues in areas where most people
don’t have areas. If a good relationship manifested for
me, it can for you. At this moment, there may be someone seeking
you and when you find each other, you’ll be able to write
a new story. Remember what the Fairy Godmother said to Cinderella,
"No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep believing,
the dream you dream will come true."
